Why I’m building Plug In.
I want to make it easier to return to Scripture, take responsibility for the day in front of us, and keep growing when the journey is hard.
I have learned that wanting to change and actually changing are two different things. Growth asks for honesty. It asks us to look at our choices, notice how they affect other people, and keep doing the difficult work after the first burst of motivation fades.
My faith has been part of that work. Reading Scripture and praying have helped me slow down, examine myself, and think about what it means to live differently. I have also had days when I fell short of the habits I wanted to keep. I did not want one hard day to become a reason to give up on the next one.
“We got tomorrow. Let’s do better tomorrow.”
That is something I have said to myself. It is not an excuse to avoid responsibility. It is a reminder to own what happened, learn from it, and return to the next faithful step.
Why make an app?
I am building Plug In: Power & Purpose because I wanted a steady place for that kind of practice. The vision is a guided 40-week discipleship pathway with a short daily rhythm: spend time with Scripture, pray, reflect honestly, and put one thing into practice. I want it to welcome someone beginning their walk with Jesus while still giving a longtime believer room to go deeper.
An app cannot do the work of faith for anyone. It cannot replace a church, a trusted person, or the choices we make away from a screen. My hope is that Plug In can help people make space for those choices and keep showing up with purpose.
Plug In is still in development. I am sharing the vision as we build it, and I will be clear about what is available when it is ready. For now, this is the heart behind it: begin honestly, take the next step, and keep growing.
